The Internet Spies In Your PC

Espionage and covert operations not only take place in war grounds and war fields but also in the ubiquitous internet. And as always, these covert operations (in your computer) take place surreptitiously.

Well, who is spying on you? The question is better put in this way. What is spying on you? The answer is always two simple words, adware and spyware.

Adware, a software that displays advertisements (unsolicited) on your computer is usually integrated into free applications. In worst cases, the software is designed to pop up advertisements when the system boots.

Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else”. Thus, when a spyware enters your computer, you are under the vigilance of a third party and not to mention, your basic privacy rights are encroached

What does a spyware do once it gets into your computer? Spywares are capable of causing far more dire consequences than we expect. Spywares when used as malwares log your keystrokes, scan your disk files, snoop applications, install other spyware programs etc. They gather sensitive information from your computer like passwords, credit card numbers and constantly communicate it to interested third parties.

This eventually leads to identity theft which can be used to transfer the ownership of your properties to a wrong person. However, in less harmful cases when not used maliciously, they just monitor your internet browsing habits and relay the information to a third party.

A recent survey concludes that 9 out of 10 computers in internet are infected with adware and spywares. The way to not to become the part of this statistical majority is to protect your computer with an adware and spyware cleaner. An adware and spyware cleaner is just like an antivirus except that its target is adware and spyware not a computer virus.

There are much software which is tagged for removing the spyware and adware. But do all these applications remove the adware and spyware and protect the computer from all the vulnerabilities. Then the answer is No!

Adware and spywares are intricately integrated into the software they come with, that removing the adware or spyware without removing the software is sticky business. Not only the software but also the other programs that are infected by adware and spyware are also removed. So the best choice is to choose an adware and spyware cleaner that actively detects the spyware or adware the moment it encroaches, hence nipping the problem in the bud.
