The need to protect your PC from Adware and Spywares

What an agony to find one’s personal computer crashing despite all the precautions taken to prevent such a catastrophe.

Let us look into a simple scenario at a large organization. In the organization, when a system starts off first, everything is clean requiring passwords to log into one’s personal accounts so as to prevent anyone just walk in and use the system. In this way, only the company network connection and email systems are kept open. Non essentials like social networking sites, online dating sites, messengers cannot be uploaded thereby the company ensures that the employees are only working when in office.

In reality, it is not possible employees to avoid using office personal computers for chatting purposes, downloading files or songs unofficially. And when they do this, they are kicking off a catastrophe in their system without their knowledge.

Spyware is being a dangerous threats to privacy in the digital age and the worst its within striking distance. Internet is full of spyware and adware let loose by unscrupulous groups to take advantage of the security vulnerabilities in user’s computer and browser. Spywares were originally intended for advertising purposes. But there will always be people who exploit the positive side of something for negative purposes. This applies to spywares too.

Spywares have already deviated from their original track and has become a tool for crime groups to steal sensitive information from user’s computer. The victims of spyware do not even know that a spyware is resident in their system until it creates a mess hard to clean. Spywares are totally destructive tools that they invade user’s privacy and collect information about the user without their consent. The user is robbed of his privacy.

This form of “snoopware” lets the spy watch everything you do. Your usernames, passwords, banking details and other sensitive information are at easy access to the spy. Adware is a form of spyware when in your computer, displays annoying pop up ads on your display screen. Some adware programs fool the user by informing him/her that a virus has been found and the unsuspecting user who gets confused clicks on the dialog box displayed. Clicking on the dialog box triggers a chain of events that the user is usually is unaware of.

To aggravate matters, the carrier of these online nuisances are some legal programs that are available cost free on the Internet. Any unsuspecting user who downloads these infected free ware programs surrender the control of their system to adware and spyware programs unknowingly.

Anti spyware and adware programs protect the user from identity theft and other dangers of adware and spyware. Nevertheless they are 100% effective. There are also spywares masqueraded as security software. Hence it is advisable to carry out a brief research before deciding.
